That people who record their daily actions and track their progress lose more weight than those who don’t, and in some cases even double the amount.
When I first started doing this it took a little bit of getting used to. But eventually once I got the hang of it, instead of viewing it as something that was tedious or unnecessary, I shifted my viewpoint and saw it as an effective tool that was going to assist me in reaching my goal.
I had an AH-HA moment when I finally understood that there is tremendous value in tracking daily actions. I saw the power in recording my daily actions and tracking my progress was that I would be able to identify the things that were blocking me from success, allowing me to fix them.
I began recording everything and experienced firsthand how much it actually effected my motivation and consistency with sticking to the plan.
Another thing I love about keeping track is how much better I do on the program when recording my daily actions. It helped me reach my goal weight so much faster because I was able to identify old habits that I might have never even noticed because I was so used to doing them. But since I knew that I was going to record it, I didn’t want to do anything bad because I didn’t want to have to write that down.
This helped me so much if I was ever having a weak moment. I just simply thought about how I would feel about myself when I had to write down having that piece of cake or slice of pizza. I didn’t want to write it down so therefore I didn’t end up having it. Can you see how powerful this tool is in keeping you on track? It’s amazing!
Since then I’ve become a die-hard advocate of recording daily actions and tracking progress.
